Conservation Agriculture for Sustainable Agriculture

چکیده

The paper is centered on the concept of conservation agriculture (CA), which defined as a sustainable cultivation system for future. Conservation (CA) farming that promotes minimal soil disturbance, permanent cover, and crop rotations to maintain health productivity. This approach focuses maximizing natural resources, reducing inputs, improving efficiency nutrient use. CA practices have been found reduce erosion, conserve water, increase organic matter, leading improved yields reduced greenhouse gas emissions. In addition agricultural productivity, can also contribute broader development goals, including poverty reduction, food security, biodiversity conservation. However, adoption requires shift in mindset significant investment equipment, training, research. started 1930 it didn’t gain popularity till 1950. But from 1950 1990, there was very little rise- practiced only 2-million-hectare land. From 1990 2015, almost 180- million-hectare land with 10-million hectare annually around world. places where most Brazil, next America followed by Australia. India, at 3-million-hectare different forms. Various types machinery techniques are used such zero tillage, diversification intensification, multi tillage plant, mechanical transplanter, happy seeder laser leveler. use has several benefits, health, increased yields, labor input costs. equipment may be limitations some regions due conditions types. promoting technologies still faces challenges lack appropriate seeders small-scale farmers, competition between livestock feeding residues, burning shortage skilled manpower, overcoming traditional about tillage. Drawback Limited adoption, limited knowledge skills, dependence herbicide initial costs so on.

The role of conservation agriculture in sustainable agriculture.

The paper focuses on conservation agriculture (CA), defined as minimal soil disturbance (no-till, NT) and permanent soil cover (mulch) combined with rotations, as a more sustainable cultivation system for the future. Cultivation and tillage play an important role in agriculture. The benefits of tillage in agriculture are explored before introducing conservation tillage (CT), a practice that was...

Monsanto: partnering for sustainable agriculture

Monsanto is driven by a global commitment to sustainable agricultural production. This commitment includes bringing technologies to farmers that improve their lives by helping them be more productive while using fewer resources–leading to a reduced overall effect on the environment. By using this commitment to drive our actions, we believe we are creating a positive impact on our world. But, we...

Agrometeorology and sustainable agriculture

Current concerns with the sustainability of agroecosystems in different parts of the world have hightened the awareness for careful use of the natural resource base on which agriculture depends. For proper and efficient use of soils and plant/animal genetic material, knowledge of the role of climate is an essential precondition. Several elements of the chapters in Agenda 21, a global plan of ac...

Paraquat and sustainable agriculture.

Sustainable agriculture is essential for man's survival, especially given our rapidly increasing population. Expansion of agriculture into remaining areas of natural vegetation is undesirable, as this would reduce biodiversity on the planet. Maintaining or indeed improving crop yields on existing farmed land, whether on a smallholder scale or on larger farms, is thus necessary. One of the limit...
